American actress and comedian, Caryn Elaine Johnson, known professionally as Whoopi Goldberg has shocked many of her fans after revealing that she has never worn bras for 50 years out of her 69 years on the face of earth.

On last week’s episode of The View on ABC, the comedian and actress shared that according to her timeline, she has not put on a bra since she was in her 20s back in the 1970s because she has always believed bras would deprive her of comfort.

The topic about wearing the undergarments came up when her fellow cohosts brought the topic up about the best way to wear them.

Joy Behar, 82, who was one of the cohosts joked that she was feeling uncomfortable in hers and that she wanted to unbuckle and let ‘her girls’ loose.

"You know what, I feel like doing right now? I feel like letting these girls loose. Back up,” Behar said jokingly.

When the group turned to Goldberg for her opinion, Behar who seemed to know her well said, "She doesn't wear one, she liberated those girls a long time ago." – a comment that Goldberg affirmed straightforwardly.

"I don’t wear one. I have not worn a bra in 50 years, It’s too uncomfortable, and I don’t mind if they [my girls] hit the floor! They’re mine!”

Goldberg proceeded to get up from her chair and said, "This is what you do. You’re walking and then you go, ‘Hey girl,’” she joked while pretending to kick something off the ground while staring at her chest.

Goldberg was one of the A-list celebrities who made a bold fashion statement at this year’s Met Gala in New York on May 5.

The star appeared in a tailored dress by Thom Browne that honored the Costume Exhibit's theme of "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style."

According to Daily Mail, one year ago Whoopi revealed that she became a drug addict in the 1980s, a chilling revelation she outlined in her Memoir, Bits And Pieces: My Mother, My Brother, And Me.

Inside the pages of the book she also wrote about her mom, Emma, being sent to a psychiatric hospital for two years.

Recalling the height of her addiction to cocaine, the Grammy award winner wrote that she believed she could handle the drug because it didn't seem as dangerous as heroin, which she had previously been hooked on in the 1970s.
