Rapper King Kaka has spoken publicly for the first time since he and his ex-wife, Nana Owiti, announced their separation, shedding light on their current co-parenting relationship.
The couple, who were together for 13 years and share three children, announced their split in December 2024 via a joint statement. They emphasized their commitment to co-parenting with love and respect, and requested privacy during the transition.
In a recent YouTube conversation with politician Karen Nyamu, King Kaka shared that despite the breakup, he and Nana have maintained a cordial and cooperative relationship for the sake of their children.
Moving Past the Pain
Addressing questions about co-parenting, he explained, “The pain is behind us. We are co-parenting well. In fact, I have the kids this weekend, and I’m looking forward to it. We are in a good place.”
His comments highlight that the couple has chosen to prioritize their children’s well-being while navigating the end of their long-term relationship.

The rapper also addressed the public’s curiosity around whether Nana has moved on since their separation. King Kaka responded diplomatically, stating that they each have their own separate lives now and do not pry into one another’s personal affairs.
King Kaka’s measured and respectful approach provides reassurance to fans that, despite personal differences, the duo remains committed to their children and maintaining mutual respect. In a society where celebrity breakups often become fodder for speculation and rumors, his candid conversation sets a positive example for co-parenting arrangements.
