Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi’s son, Moses Mudavadi, on Saturday, September 13, tied the knot with his lover Qillian Saiya in a traditional wedding ceremony.
Qillian is the daughter of former GSU Commandant William Saiya and former nominated Senator Naomi Masitsa Shiyonga.

The traditional wedding ceremony was held at the Sayia family home in Malava, Kakamega County.
Government officials, including PS Beatrice Inyangala, PS Jane Imbunya, and Vihiga Woman Rep Beatrice Adagala, attended the event.

Moses donned a dark blue traditional outfit with embroidered details, while the bride wore a mermaid-style gown with turquoise, red, and metallic details.
Other guests in the colorful wedding wore a mix of traditional and contemporary outfits.

In a statement after the wedding, PS Imbunya congratulated Moses and Qillian, wishing them a fruitful marriage
“I joined family, friends & community to celebrate the pre-wedding of Prime Cabinet Secretary H.E. Musalia Mudavadi’s son and the daughter of former GSU Commandant William Saiya. The laughter, songs & prayers in Kakamega felt like a promise: unity, hope & love.

“I was honoured to share: “In the Bible, marriage was made and ordained in the Garden of Eden. You have made a Garden of Eden here today.” Qillian, may your life together be as fruitful & steadfast as that sacred garden,” she stated.

This comes almost two years after Mudavadi’s daughter, Maryanne, wed her lover, Michael Nyaga, in a high-profile event at St. Austin Catholic Church in Riverside, Nairobi.
In attendance were their parents, Musalia and his wife Tessie, and friends and relatives, including high-profile politicians.
Nyaga is a renowned lawyer, while Maryanne is a Human Resource Manager currently working with a renowned bank in the country.
Maryanne holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Sussex in the UK and a Master's in Human Resource Management from the same institution.
