Tanzanian songstress Zuchu has publicly confirmed her marriage to Diamond Platnumz by updating her Instagram bio to read "Mrs Nasib", referencing Diamond’s real name, Nasibu Abdul Juma.

The move, which was noticed by her 6.8 million followers, adds a fresh twist to the ongoing speculation surrounding the couple’s relationship.

This public confirmation comes amid swirling rumours that Diamond had allegedly issued three divorces (talaq) to Zuchu—claims that shocked fans, especially as the couple’s marriage had not previously been made official.

Zuchu, the Sukari hitmaker, now claims legal wife status, while Diamond himself has broken his silence in a cryptic Instagram post suggesting he has been married before.

Without naming Zuchu directly, he reflected on the maturity it takes to stay silent while being wrongly accused in public.

“One of the things I’ve learnt is the maturity of keeping quiet. This maturity requires immense patience—when people accuse you falsely, and you carry the truth silently within you... it's not easy. But I thank God for giving me the wisdom to endure that kind of silence,” Diamond wrote.

He added that his silence is part of a conscious decision to avoid media interviews and let his “battles be fought by God.” The Jeje singer ended his reflection by teasing:

“I know each of you has a different image of Diamond Platnumz and marriage. But today, I want to say that Diamond Platnumz has already married. One day, I’ll tell you how it unfolded.”

Adding clarity to the situation, Sheikh Walid Kawambwa, a regional Islamic cleric, confirmed that he officiated Diamond and Zuchu’s nikah (Islamic marriage) five months ago.

“Yes, I solemnised their marriage five months ago. As for the talk about divorce, I am not aware of that. If they had divorced, Diamond would have informed me,” he said in a media interview.

The revelation has reignited public fascination with the couple’s on-and-off relationship, which dates back to 2021. Their romance has seen moments of intense affection, several breakups, and public reconciliations. In November 2024, the two publicly split, only for reports to surface of a planned wedding before Ramadan 2025.
