Betty Kyallo’s father, Kyallo Snr, has expressed his readiness to meet his daughter’s boyfriend, Charlie, marking a significant step in their much-discussed relationship.

The journalist and businesswoman shared a photo with her father on social media, to which Charlie enthusiastically replied, “Finally.”

Betty, a mother of one, playfully tagged her partner in the post, writing, “He wants to have a meeting with you.” The announcement comes after the couple faced intense scrutiny over their age difference when they went public with their romance earlier this year.

Betty has repeatedly dismissed claims that Charlie is significantly younger, refuting online rumours that he is 21. “A lot of what you see online is lies—that ’21’ is a total lie,” she clarified. “Even if my boyfriend were 21, he’d still be an adult. But he’s not. Let’s stop focusing on that.”

With her trademark humour, she joked about older couples being too preoccupied with responsibilities to prioritise romance. “We decided to give the older generation time to relax and focus on their own issues,” she quipped.
