Migori: Police Launch Investigations After A Man Was Attacked By Uknown Assailants

Police in Uriri, Migori County have launched investigations into an incident in which a 29-year-old man was attacked by armed assailants in Ayego area, leaving him with serious injuries.
The victim, identified as Felix Ouma, is receiving treatment at Migori Level Four Hospital.
Uriri Sub County Police Commander Bashir Ali said preliminary investigations indicate that Ouma was ambushed by armed youths around 11 p.m. while heading home.

Bashir added that the motive of the attack is yet to be established, but investigations are ongoing.
He further stated that police will record statements from the individuals who rescued the victim to obtain an accurate account of the incident.
Although police have not determined the motive, some residents claim the victim had recently complained of being trailed.
Dan Omuoso, a resident, said Ouma had alleged during a recent funeral that he was being followed over political issues in Uriri Constituency.
Omuoso has appealed to the police to speed up investigations and bring the perpetrators to justice.
