
President William Ruto appoints Ruku, Cheptumo as Cabinet Secretaries

The two were appointed by Ruto in latest cabinet changes that saw Justin Muturi axed from the Public Service docket.
They were vetted by the National Assembly's Committee on Appointments on Monday where they were questioned on key issues in their ministries and past positions held.
In a gazette notice dated April 16, 2025, Ruto also appointed 14 Principal Secretaries.
The Principal Secretaries include Dr. Jane Imbunya, Regina Akoth, Cyrell Wagunda, Dr. Caroline Karugu, and Dr. Fredrick Oluga Ouma.
Others are: Ahmed Ibrahim, Judith Pareno, Boniface Makokha and Prof. Shaukar Abdulrazak.
Stephen Isaboke, Michel Lenasalon, Frikirini Kahindi, Carren Achieng, and Aden Millah were also appointed by Ruto.
