Media personality Oga Obinna has finally addressed the confusing and abrupt end of his professional partnership with comedienne Dem Wa Facebook, months after the collapse of their popular online show.
Obinna’s comments follow his former co-host, Dem Wa Facebook (real name Milicent Ayuwa), revealing in a recent interview that the show ended without any notice, leaving her without closure and wondering what happened to their strong mutual bond.
Obinna’s Side of the Story
Speaking publicly about the issue for the first time, Obinna offered his perspective on why the collaboration abruptly went silent, as Dem Wa Facebook had described.
While he did not offer a specific, single reason for the breakup, the entertainer stressed that the dynamics of online content creation and working with individuals can often be fluid and change suddenly. He acknowledged the frustration that can come when a project ends without a formal announcement, especially for someone who was deeply invested.
“When you are in this industry, sometimes things just run their course,” Obinna reportedly stated. “It’s not always malice or a big fight. Sometimes, you just feel that the energy for that particular project has finished, or your vision shifts to something else.”
He added that in the fast-paced digital space, formal contracts and long goodbyes are not always the norm, which can unfortunately lead to misunderstandings, particularly for partners who were expecting a long-term professional relationship.
Acknowledging the Contribution
Despite the sudden end, Obinna was complimentary of Dem Wa Facebook’s contributions, acknowledging the significant role she played in the show’s success while it lasted.

The media personality’s response aims to shed light on the pressures of content creation, suggesting the dissolution of the show was more a reflection of changing professional direction than a personal fallout.
This long-awaited clarification offers a contrasting view to Dem Wa Facebook’s earlier revelation that she simply stopped receiving calls for the Monday shoot from his PA and was forced to assume her contract had ended.
What are your thoughts on how professional partnerships in the fast-paced content creation world usually end?
