Jamaican dancehall artiste Garfield Delano Spence, popularly known as Konshens, and his wife Latoya Wright are celebrating eight years of marriage.

The two exchanged vows on November 19, 2017, in a private ceremony in Florida.

The two lovers took to their Instagram and posted lovely photos of their wedding.

“Feels like we’ve been through lifetimes… and I’d still choose you, EVERY TIME! Happy Anniversary, My King,” Latoya stated.

Their anniversary comes after years of a relationship that has been publicly tested. In August 2019, Latoya announced their separation on Instagram, writing that she was a single woman and whatever Konshens chose to do with his life no longer involved her.

She also clarified that her post did not come from a place of anger and that she still had love for him. In a later Q&A session, she added that she had been single for eight months, confirming their long period of separation.

“I am a single woman. So, whatever @konshens does with his life has absolutely nothing to do with me.”

Their marriage continued to face challenges, and in 2020, Latoya again stated that she had been single for several months. Despite the repeated public confirmations of their split, the couple always seemed to find their way back to each other, showing a pattern of separation and reconciliation that kept fans guessing about the true state of their relationship.

Konshens and Latoya have two sons. Their first son, Liam, was born before the public strains in their marriage. In October 2022, they welcomed their second son, Zayn, a moment Konshens shared proudly with his followers.

Konshens also has a daughter, Sajhi, from a previous relationship. In 2022, Latoya experienced a frightening moment when she was reported missing in Miami while pregnant, but she was later found safe in a hospital after an accident.

Konshens has remained one of the most recognisable names in dancehall. He began his music journey as part of the duo SoJah with his brother Delus before moving into a solo career. His hit songs, including Bruk Off Yuh Back, have earned him global acclaim. His album Mental Maintenance, released in 2012, became a major success, topping charts. He also runs his own label, Subkonshus Music, and continues to tour internationally.
