Shock as Pastor T Alleges Assassination Attempts Against Babu Owino: "We've to Pray for You"
Life Church International, Limuru, head pastor Anthony Kahura Mwangi has prayed for divine protection over Embakasi East MP Babu Owino as he warned him of potential assassination attempts and political danger.
Speaking when Babu visited his church on Monday, September 8, 2025, Pastor Mwangi assured that God’s favour and guidance would shield Babu through the trials ahead.
“It will not be easy. I see a lot of warfare and even assassination attempts. But I cover you because of the cry of the needy. Many can relate to your story, and now I declare that the hand of God will shield you,” the pastor said.
The pastor highlighted that political life is filled with battles that can distract leaders from their true assignments.
He urged Babu to remain focused on the tasks God has assigned him rather than getting consumed by conflicts with men or the pressures of political rivalry.
According to Pastor Mwangi, remaining obedient to divine instructions is crucial for successfully navigating both visible and hidden challenges in the political arena.
“Politics has many battles. Sometimes we get consumed by them and forget the assignment. God is going to lift you, Babu, in a major way. Listen, no matter where you are, there are levels you reach in life, and you begin to understand that it is not your power, your network, or your money, it is the favour that comes from the Lord,” he said.
Beyond the warnings, Pastor Mwangi commended Babu Owino for his work in Embakasi, describing it as a model of what the nation needs.
He pointed to practical achievements such as providing bursaries to needy students, building roads, and engaging directly with the community, noting that these acts reflect the kind of consistent service that brings genuine transformation.
“What you have shown in Embakasi is exactly what this nation needs. It is not a miracle; we just need people who are working. It is not rocket science to give bursaries to the needy, to build roads, or to serve the people.”
Prophetic vision
The pastor also painted a prophetic vision of Babu Owino entering realms of the supernatural, where he would continually recognise God’s hand guiding his life.
He suggested that the MP could become a unique figure in Kenyan politics, a leader who rose from humble beginnings, laboured diligently, and continues to demonstrate faith, humility, and service at the highest levels of government.
“I pray that under this atmosphere, the Lord will usher you into realms of the supernatural, where you will see His hand over your life. May you enter dimensions where you recognise that it is only God. May you become a specimen in the political world, a boy born in Kisumu who has laboured and is now doing wonders at the top, yet remains a lover of the living God,” Pastor T added.
Throughout the message, Pastor Mwangi emphasised that true elevation comes not from personal power, wealth, or networks, but from God alone.
He prayed for Babu Owino to be a specimen in the political world, someone whose journey demonstrates that integrity, faith, and service can coexist with national leadership, even amid threats and challenges.
“Listen, no matter where you are, there are levels you reach in life, and you begin to understand that it is not your power, your network, or your money, it is the favour that comes from the Lord. This is my prayer for you, Babu: God is going to lift you. Please do not look upon men; look upon Him. When God gives you an instruction or an assignment, obey it, and the other things will be settled.”
