Socialite Vera Sidika has opened up about her co-parenting arrangement with singer Brown Mauzo, insisting that their children are always under the care of one parent.
Sharing CCTV footage from home, Vera explained that her hosting business often requires her to travel or stay in different places, but Brown always steps in to be with the kids.
“My children always have a parent at home. Whenever I need to be at my apartment while hosting, I always ask their dad to go spend entire time with them. And when I travel anywhere in the world, he stays with them along with the nannies from the moment I leave until I return. They never go without a parent present in their lives,” she said.
Her remarks come shortly after a heated online exchange between the estranged couple, sparked by Mauzo’s claims that one of his baby mamas often calls him at 1 a.m. while drunk. Though he didn’t mention any names, speculation quickly turned to Vera.
The mother of two swiftly dismissed the allegations, clarifying that she neither drinks nor would ever call her partner at such hours.
“I keep seeing people telling me to stop calling at night, and I’m like, me, 1 am? Even in a relationship, I wouldn’t call my boyfriend at that hour. Call drunk and complaining? Absolutely not. I’m a sober person, I don’t get drunk, and you would never catch me acting that way because I know what I’m doing. I’m responsible, mature, and smart. I’m not that type of person. I don’t drink alcohol and I don’t act out," she said in an Instagram video.
Vera further reminded fans that Brown has other children with different mothers, cautioning against assumptions that every allegation he makes is about her.
“Kenyans, you know this guy is called Father Abraham because he has other kids. So why assume any story about his baby mamas is about me? Brown, stop it. Why didn’t you come to me directly?” she said.
She went on to warn Mauzo against dragging her name into the matter, stressing that she is financially independent and fully capable of raising her children.
“Please keep my name out of your mouth. I have never ever needed anything from Brown. I take care of my kids; I am good. And if you are trying to look for clout, this is not the place, Brown, because you know me, I got receipts and I can expose you,” the socialite stated.

Vera’s recent praise of Brown’s role as a father sparked mixed reactions online, with many Kenyans questioning her consistency.
“Juzi si alisema brown has never offered anything and she doesn’t need anything from him? Wapi ile video?” one Instagram user, Nyarrongo, asked. Another, Fashion Constant, commented, “How is it a fun fact for kids to always have their parent at home?! Isn't that's how it's supposed to be?! Ama sijaelewa.”
Josephine on Instagram added, “If Vera values a man presence in her children’s life then who are you?”
