Kaluma Boy Takes His Mom Out For Spa And Manicure Date

TikToker Vincent Kaluma has remained at the centre of attention days after content creators across Kenya joined forces in a major online campaign to aid his ailing father.

A video he shared on his TikTok page on Thursday, November 6, 2025, showed him taking his mum out for a spa date where she had her manicure and pedicure done, attracting massive views and thousands of comments from his fans.

Kaluma revealed that it was the very first time for her mum to get a spa treatment, and emotionally reflected on how life had begun to change for the better for them after a long season of struggle and uncertainty.

“The first time for her to do manicure and pedicure,” Kaluma wrote.

He expressed that his mother had been extremely happy following the treat and that he would always keep striving for greater heights for the sake of his parents, who had stood by him in his most difficult moments.

“Manicure and she was very happy,” Kaluma wrote before adding heart emojis.

The video then showed his mother looking visibly delighted as she admired the red acrylic nails on her fingers, smiling warmly and waving at the camera.

The development comes shortly after East Africa University officially admitted the Othaya-born content creator on a full scholarship, marking a significant milestone in his journey.

The university not only offered him a monthly stipend but also a place in its work-study programme, allowing him to work within the institution while pursuing his studies.

Speaking during his admission ceremony on Monday, November 3, 2025, the university’s Vice Chancellor, Dr Christopher Mutembei, said the opportunity was meant to empower him to change his life and inspire other youths across the country to value education.

“I am Dr Christopher Mutembei, the Vice Chancellor of East Africa University. We are so happy today to welcome Kaluma Boy. We were notified about him by a bishop, and we are glad that he has finally been able to report,” the VC said.

Kaluma was admitted to pursue a Diploma in Business Information Technology after initially expressing interest in digital marketing, before receiving career guidance that helped him settle on the new course.

Dr Mutembei explained that the university’s decision to admit and support him was rooted in the belief that education could transform lives and create ripple effects of hope across communities.

He added that the university planned to engage Kaluma in outreach programmes to help inspire and inform other young people about academic opportunities.

“He has been admitted to undertake a Diploma in Business Information Technology. Initially, he wanted to study Digital Marketing, but after receiving career guidance, he decided to take this course instead,” he added.
