Former Machachari actress Wanjiku Mburu has visited a highway in South Africa where her sister, Grace Wambui Mburu, popularly known as Mama Bob, lost her life.

In a video shared on her TikTok page on Thursday, November 6, 2025, Wanjiku is seen strolling along the edge of the road, which was surrounded by trees and thick vegetation.

She moves quietly, her steps calm but heavy with emotion, as she speaks tender words about her late sister’s soul.

The sound of cars passing by can be heard faintly in the background, adding to the emotional weight of the moment as Wanjiku revisits the exact place where her sister took her last breath.

She then posted on her TikTok that she had gone to the site to pray and reflect on her sister’s memory.

She revealed that returning to the place was one of the most difficult things she had ever done, but it was something she needed to do to find peace.

‘South Africa, Durban, and to be specific, Mooi River, and this is where my sister had her last moments, and I am just here to lay these flowers in remembrance of her, so in loving memory to grace Wambui Mburu,” she said.

She went on to showcase a flower she had carried to the site and revealed that she was still struggling to come to terms with how her sister had died.

She said the flower symbolised love, remembrance, and the deep bond they shared as sisters.

She explained that laying it by the road was her way of keeping her sister’s memory alive and finding closure after months of grief.

“I am here to pray. am just here to lay these flowers in remembrance of her,” she said.

This comes just two days after Wanjiku confirmed the untimely passing of the revered thespian.

She shared the sad news via a TikTok post on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, revealing that Grace had died suddenly.

During that time, Wanjiku paid a heartfelt tribute to her sister, saying she was still in disbelief and that words could not express the pain she felt.

In her message, Wanjiku described her sister as a kind and beautiful soul whose laughter filled every room she walked into.

“And then? My dear sister, rest easy,” she wrote back then.

Grace, who was widely known for her role as Mama Bob in Machachari, had earned admiration from fans for her warm personality and strong performances on screen.

Few knew that she was Wanjiku’s real sister until the tragic news broke.
