Ugandan singer Douglas Mayanja, better known as Weasel, has found himself in the headlines after a disturbing video showed him crying out for help as his wife, Rwandan socialite Sandra Teta, allegedly mistreated him despite his leg injury.
In the clip that has since gone viral, a visibly distressed Weasel, seated with his injured leg bandaged, is seen pleading while Teta throws blows at him repeatedly.
The video showed a man and a woman attempting to restrain Sandra, but she continued yelling and trying to push past them. At one point, she reaches for an object on the ground, seemingly to hurl at the musician, before being restrained by another woman.
The “Uganda” and “Single” hitmaker claims that Teta refused to support his treatment, even though, according to him, she was the one who broke his leg.
Weasel was also heard telling her to leave their home, a move that seemingly triggered the fiery altercation.
The video ended with Weasel showing his bandaged limb while Teta shouts over him, screaming: “Weasel, it’s okay!”
This shocking turn of events follows an earlier incident in August, when the “Kuku” singer was hospitalised after an alleged hit-and-run involving Teta outside Shan’s Bar in Munyonyo.
Witnesses at the time claimed their heated argument spiralled out of control, with Teta allegedly running him over in a vehicle registered as UBH 148Y. The car was impounded at Kabalagala Police Station, and Teta was briefly detained.
Weasel, who rose to fame as one-half of the legendary duo Radio and Weasel, had then reassured fans with a heartfelt post:
“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the outpouring of love and well-wishes following my recent accident… I am on the road to surgery and full recovery… We are looking forward to bouncing back stronger and better.”

But this latest footage has reignited concern over the couple’s stormy relationship. Fans flooded social media with mixed reactions.
Charity on X lamented:
“If Weasel and his wife don’t learn to discipline themselves, they might finish each other off then leave us, the social media relatives, typing RIP while their children carry the pain. If marriage becomes this toxic, better to walk away than to stay and destroy each other.”
Another user, Juma, weighed in bluntly:
“It is no longer funny. These two need help or a divorce.”
As the drama continues to unfold, fans are left wondering if Weasel’s cries for help will finally be the breaking point—or if the toxic saga will spiral further out of control.
